Screenwriter and director with a love for strong visual narration that goes beyond the norm of Swedish realism. Tord is known for an epic and cinematic approach to strong stories of real emotions, loss and triumph with complex characters. With human emotions in focus, his goal is to continue to work across genres and push the boundaries to create fantastic and engaging experiences for a broad and commercial audience.

In 2020, his first feature film Andra Sidan (The Evil Next Door) was released. A horror film that shook Sweden in the middle of the pandemic and broke theater records, despite limited theater admittance. Andra Sidan was nominated for four Guldbagge and won Best Sound and Sound Effects. The film has been widely appreciated all around the world, selling to over 22 countries.

Tord is currently in the post-production of the prestigious 2022 Christmas calendar for SVT that he directed.

Tord started out making several award winning short films and continued his professional career by creating and directing the classic cult series Den Sista Dokusåpan (The Last Documentary Soap) for MTG Television. He has since directed several successful television dramas; a remake of an Emmy award-winning horror series; Vikingshill for SVT, the audience favorite Syrror (Nurses) for TV4, and the critically acclaimed Christmas calendar Jakten på Tidskristallen for SVT.
